Canceling my trip, CDC testing requirement last straw

Yes, Alaska currently has an unreliable schedule. A reliable FAA source (college roommate) shared to avoid Feb travel due to anticipated change in US Covid Policy next week as tests results will be the norm for return travel. This leaves the airlines in limbo and unable to confirm return ($) on limited travelers.

I receive the Pfeizer vaccine this Friday and also curious how this plays with return to US test requirements. Any confirmation on cost and turnaround time for recognized test in Zihua?

The NY Times article says:
"The new policy requires all air passengers, regardless of vaccination status, to get a test for current infection within the three days before their flight to the United States departs, and to provide written documentation of their test results or proof of having recovered from Covid-19."
