Scammed at Krystal Ixtapa Hotel

Just an update. The guy (Ignacio) who said "Oops I made a typo, your bill is an overcharge, just sign it and I will give you a refund receipt" is Reception Manager at Krystal Ixtapa and when Expedia called or sent an email ...he was the guy responding, in a perfect position to obfuscate or just lie, which explains why Expedia could not investigate and why they couldn't provide help, even after weeks passed by. So I tracked down his Krystal bosses in Mexico City.
Their recent response :we only ask for time for the bank to respond, we only ask for a little more time, your money will be returned.

So I will give them through March to get this done. What an ordeal. Looks like progress. I just hope they're telling the truth.
