All of the references I read regarding alcohol and the immune system, refer to a POSSIBLE affect on the immune system of chronic alcoholics, not for the occasional drinker. The articles that suggest abstaining state that alcohol can cause dehydration which THEORETICALLY could make post vaccine symptoms more prominent. While I suppose there may be studies about vaccine effectiveness in chronic alcoholics, they would not be pertinent to apply to the occasional drinker. I think it is extremely unlikely that a celebratory drink after vaccination would effect the immune response. I’d be interested is any studies that show otherwise. I will freely admit I have been wrong before. It was the time I thought I was wrong and I wasn’t:stirpot:
