Went to Coacoyúl yesterday for my vaccination. It was a very successful trip, arrived at 8:30am, walked out at 2.

HOWEVER With the exception that every single person wore a mask, there were absolutely no COVID precautions taken. None. No hand washing, no sanitizer, no temps taken, in the first line, people stood the pre COVID distance apart. If you tried to get space, you were told to move up. In the second line where you were put in order to get paperwork they literally had people standing back to back. If you didn't, an official type came and moved you forward. The people handling the documents, maybe 12 of them, were sitting with their chairs touching. During the blood pressure check, the ONLY check done, there was 18 inches between the chairs, and there was no sanitizing of anything during the checks-not by those checking pressures, their hands, their equipment, even the items that made skin contact. When sent in groups of 5 to the vaccination table, the folding chairs were touching, and we sat shoulder to shoulder. The nice man who administered the injection wore disposable gloves, but didn't clean or change them between people. He gave no warning about abstaining from alcohol, just not to massage the injection site. He did say that swimming was OK.

There was no water available and the two outhouses were inside of the secure area where you waited for your injection. It took me four hours to get to that point.

Did I go along with all of this?? Absolutely, I wanted my vaccine, and no one else seemed to care at all.

Please hope that we don't have a big flare up in the next week or so. There were a LOT of very old people that would not survive.

Will I go get my second dose under the same conditions? Absolutely, I want it.
