As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,426 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (same as yesterday), 194 that have resulted in fatalities, 6 that are currently active, and approximately 2,076 that have recovered. Petatlán currently has 3 active cases while La Unión has 0.

Still no rain after the extremely brief drizzle last night, not even enough to wash the dust off my tinacos. And the storm out at sea sucked up all the humidity and moisture with it and left us with clear skies and plenty of heat. The time of year right before the rains is always a bit of a drag as the heat builds up and the breeze dies down.

Rumor has it the damaged part of the Autopista Siglo XXI will be repaired by this weekend. I have my doubts, especially after a series of small quakes jolted the region today. They need to take this more seriously instead of rushing to repair it.

This part of a larger mural was just finished. Not sure if any of you remember David Hernández Sr. who used to sell cocos in front of the jardín when it was still a jardín, but this is dedicated to him.
