'Man, it's hot and humid here in Zihua, compared to Maz'
Funny...I felt like Mazatlan was the most sweltering beach
town on the Mexican Pacific.
Depends what season you were there. This morning at 9 am, Zihua was 24, Mazatlan 18. We've heard that summer temps and humidity are higher in Maz, but between November and March, Mazatlan is definitely cooler with less humidity. In fact, on occasion, Mazatlan can be uncomfortably cool then. The air in Mazatlan is clearer and crisper than Zihua's, which doesn't change all that much in "heaviness" from season to season. Mazatlan sun and air is more typical of other areas on the Sea of Cortez.....Puerto Peñasco, or to a lesser extent, La Paz are good examples. At least that's the way we've experienced things.
