Petróleo Blanco

I was feeling a bit nostalgic and bought an oil lamp. In an attempt to save time on my search for fuel, does anyone know who sales kerosene locally? Don't want to burn jet fuel, diesel, olive oil etc....looking for kerosene.

You can get petróleo blanco for lamps at the hardware stores.

When I first lived here in '74, everyone used petróleo blanco for their lamps and for mopping their floors to keep down the alacranes and other bugs. This was a daily or almost-daily thing to do. That was back when we could still see stars at night. Now with so much light pollution even the moon looks dim in our downtown Zihuatanejo sky. Forget seeing constellations or the Vía Láctea.
