Abandoned boat near Las Gatas?

A local told us this story...not sure how accurate it is.

A resident won the boat in a card game (or maybe another kind of bet) and the owner refused to pay up. Somehow the bet was ruled valid and the boat owner forced to deliver. But he didn't like the ruling and purposely ruined the engine and also otherwise incapacitated the boat.

The new owner did not have financial wherewithal to fix it up and there it sits.

My grandsons used it for a diving board last month.
