Guerrero's state health officials confirm 7 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 1 in Benito Juárez, 59 in Acapulco, and 142 in the entire state.

Got a bit warm today, a sign of things to come. Also, there's been a bit of smoke in the air from the nasty power plant in Petacalco (a legacy of Nafta). The water remains cool, and Ixtapa always feels a little cooler than Zihuatanejo. Of course, all of Zihuatanejo's recently poured concrete only makes it feel even hotter. According to Conagua, at least 3 heat waves will hit us between now and May. Oh boy, something to look forward to. :-o

Busloads of visitors were already arriving this Thursday morning for the long weekend. Hotels are expected to be nearly full this weekend. I hope you got any banking done that you needed doing because banks will be closed Monday for the long weekend, meaning that Tuesday will also be a bad day to go to the bank. This Thursday, however, was a breeze. Se lo dije. B-)

They offer a lovely 2-story vacation home made up of two spacious modern apartments with fully equipped kitchens and a shared pool. Rent the bottom apartment individually or the entire home.
