The municipal pier was sheer madness this afternoon when we walked down there. The downtown beach was also fairly crowded. Lots of heavily armed police and military folks about. I feel bad for them having to wear all that gear during one of the hottest days of the year. There was music blaring from the pier, and music blaring from the Cancha Municipal. My musician friends were having an impossible time trying to earn a living with all the racket. I don't know why our local events need to share their music with people 3 blocks away. The only music that I liked was by a lone guitarrist who sets up and plays soft rock and jazz at Plaza del Artista. He's extremely talented. I hope he gets hired by local restaurants and that people hire him for special events.

The mar de fondo seems to have let up quite a bit. Waves weren't near as big this late afternoon as they were this morning. Good for all the folks here who want to play in the water.

The humidity continues making it feel much hotter than the 33°C it reached today, or maybe it's all the heat radiating from all the mayor's concrete. Gonna have to do a rain dance soon. Need me some FIRE WATER.
