Just because the government bothered posting it, I'll report here that Guerrero's state health officials confirm 9 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 1 in Petatlán, 1 in Técpan, 3 in Atoyac, 76 in Acapulco, and 177 in the entire state. It's still out there.

The heat and humidity returned today in full force. We enjoyed a few mild days after the rain, even had a nice breeze for a while early Monday afternoon. But the breeze died, a bit of smokiness returned, and the heat has everyone moving slowly and only when necessary. Otherwise they're parked in front of a fan, or if they can afford it, an air-conditioner. Some are at bars or in the shade gulping refreshments.

Zihuatanejo is like a ghost town. Streets remain mostly empty and hardly anyone but a few locals and visitors are out'n'about. Shopkeepers and vendors remain hopeful, but few are making any sales. Belts keep tightening.

One of the lodgings that still maintains the original charm of old Zihuatanejo is Bungalows Pacíficos.
