Guerrero's health officials confirm 9 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 3 in Petatlán, 2 in Técpan, 3 in Atoyac, 1 in Benito Juárez, 2 in Coyuca de Benítez, 97 in Acapulco, and 192 in the entire state.
Ixtapa will be hard to get around in tomorrow. Roads are already being blocked off for the Triatlón, but if you know your way around you can reach much of Ixtapa via Paseo de las Golondrinas which runs from Casa Bonita all the way to the Telcel office across from the Barceló. But don't tell anyone, it's a secret. Some years it's possible to squeeze through at the beginning of Paseo de los Viveros, but it looks like they may have it closed all the way off this year.
This Friday evening the sky looks like it wants to rain and the humidity is way up there, similar to last week when it rained, and Saturday by noon it's going to feel like 40°C though it's only expected to reach around 34°C. It's going to put all those athletes in the Triatlón to the test, that's for sure.
For folks going to the Triatlón this Saturday, I highly recommend enjoying the spectacle from the comfortable Deborah's Restaurant right on Ixtapa Boulevard. You can enjoy breakfast, brunch or whatever with some cold refreshments. It's a great location offering delicious food and friendly service.
