Guerrero's health officials confirm 6 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 3 in Petatlán, 1 in Técpan, 1 in Atoyac, 1 in Benito Juárez, 2 in Coyuca de Benítez, 90 in Acapulco, and 159 in the entire state.

Today was another day of heat and humidity that sucks the energy out of you. Before 8AM this Monday I was already soaked with sweat just from doing a few morning chores, many that I do almost every day while barely breaking a sweat, but today was different. It was another day of steamy heat that looked like it could rain but never did. A typical day for this time of year. Most of the state has already been getting some rain, but as usual we remain sala'o.

There's already fresh growth on some trees in the area from the one rain we received. Ready for more rain like the first, a nice medium drizzle that soaked the ground for a couple of hours and cooled the temps by about 5°C.

It's heartwarming to see the help and support from locals and foreign residents for the remaining group of about 20 Haitians out of the group of about 50 that were sent here from Mexico City on an erroneous errand. The rest managed to find passage to their destination, but these last ones are hoping to be able to work to earn money to continue their journey. Fortunately, the Mexican government appears to be willing to offer work visas for the migrants who want to remain in Mexico as well as for those who are heading for our northern neighbor. Muy buena onda.
