Guerrero's health officials confirm 8 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 1 in Técpan, 1 in Atoyac, 1 in Benito Juárez, 2 in Coyuca de Benítez, 105 in Acapulco, and 188 in the entire state.

Warm weather continues, though this Tuesday was a bit milder than previous days, just a wee bit. And we had a nice breeze come through right around sunset. Still no rain nor is there any in the forecast until possibly Friday and/or Saturday. Water temp remains around 29.5°C, and a mar de fondo event is present, though the waves barely reach a meter at most in Zihuatanejo's bay.

It's been weeks since we've used hot water in the shower. Al contrario, we either have to shower quickly in the day or wait until the water in the tinaco has cooled a bit after sunset in order NOT to take a hot shower.

Town seems fairly deserted. Streets are mostly empty at the start of each day until locals wake up. The sound of the surf pretty much the only sound during the mornings other than the occasional boombox car until parents start taking their kids to school. No real sales to speak of. Lots of restaurants sit empty most of the day. Many that depend on tourists will close for a while if they haven't already.

Nestled in a quiet section of the beach at Playa Blanca is a lovely little vacation lodging called El Manantial. A small family-run inn with two one-bedroom bungalows and two houses, one with three bedrooms and the other with six. Perfect for honeymooners. Each bedroom has air-conditioning, and there is wi-fi internet, a pool and an outdoor lounge area.

In Zihuatanejo we eat fish so fresh it was swimming that morning! The fishermen's market on the downtown beach. Lots of sierra and huachinango were available today.
