Guerrero's health officials posted today the results of 4 days ago, and they confirm 12 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 1 in Coyuca de Benítez, 17 in Acapulco, and 69 in the entire state. This appears to be the new normal here. The only mortal cases seem to be unvaccinated people with underlying conditions.

Expect hot and humid weather for the next few days with mostly sunny days and a good chance of rain during the start of next week. The final days of summer vacation for our students.

Zihuatanejo will doubtless benefit from several new flights scheduled for the upcoming season. Unfortunately we keep seeking tourists from the same regions of the USA and Canadá and ignoring other regions where most of the USA's wealth is concentrated. But I'll keep trying to bring it to the attention of folks who get paid handsomely to attract new tourists.
