The mayor and his wife were out putting up decoraciones for Mes de la Patria along the waterfront this morning. This Friday the 15th is the Día del Grito de la Independencia where the mayor gets to ring a bell, wave the flag and shout ¡VIVA! to the crowds cheering him on at the Palacio Municipal. Afterwards there will be fireworks, unless it rains.

It never did rain Saturday night, nor so far this Sunday even though rain is in the forecast. It's just been another picture-postcard prefect day in paradise. There's no place else I'd rather be!

Thanks to the folks at Pizzas Locas for a delicious pizza today delivered to our door with a smile. Just what the doctor ordered. One of the perks of downtown living. Almost everybody delivers.
