Donation of ball gloves
Will you be going through customs in Zihuatanejo or elsewhere?
I don’t know how it is these days, but in recent years sometimes people have had some pretty unpleasant experiences bringing things through Zihuatanejo. I recall people bring donation of eyeglasses having a bad time. Someone who brought several of his used harmonicas for use while he was on vacation had to pay duty.
I brought a 10 year old used blender with me. (It had the manufacturing date stamped on it.) I was under the US$500 customs allowance and was charged US$50 duty on it. Last year, a friend of mine with under the US$500 customs allowance was charged M$1,500 duty on an Apple TV.
This seems to be very much hit-and-miss, so you might have no problem at all. But I hate to see good works punished.
(I have never had a problem when I arrive at Mexico City.)
If it is not January or February. I fly through Mexico City.
