Seagulls/Terns
You do! The Napolean gulls have arrived, maybe 3 weeks ago and will be here for a while, well into spring.
It's kind of like asking why doesn't Hawaii have seagulls? Why don't we have sea lions? Most of those answers are because our water is too warm!
It's a great thing to research on line.
Welcome to our paradise.
WAIT We just pulled out our bird books and are questioning our response. Looks like, maybe, the dudes we have been calling Napolean gulls are actually terns! Stay tuned to see if we can figure it out before bedtime, or if we have to see them in the morning. It they have a split tail they are terns, if not, gulls.
