Yes, 6 months a year there is a large subsidy. Electricity is very cheap if you don't get carried away. We decided we wanted to do the right thing, didn't want to ever have to concern ourselves with using too much, and be able to use the AC in the summer when we want. We went solar last month and are very happy.
