Guerrero drivers license

I have a friend who is at the city offices to renew her driver's license. She has been informed that permanent residents of Mexico can no longer get a drivers license you must be a Mexican citizen. This makes no sense if you live here, and have a Mexican plated car.

That is funny. I was told the other day by people familiar with licensing that now that I am a permanent resident, I MUST have a Mexican driver license.

Oh, boy! Ya' just gotta' love Mexico! I know I do!
