In Ixtapa this morning and of the few visitors I saw, most were foreigners enjoying breakfast at the restaurants along the boulevard. The tennis courts at the Palma Real were empty, but I couldn't tell if anyone was playing golf. The place looks closed from the street.

A lot of volleyballers are currently having a tournament in Ixtapa at the Park Royal Hotel, in case anyone is interested. Not sure of any details. Maybe someone in the know can chime in.

A real bummer to lose the huge parota tree next to the fire station, home to some of our lovely wildlife as well as a major shade provider. My understanding is that the tree had been declared protected. I wonder if the city made money issuing a permit? No tree is safe in this town, that's for damn sure!

Don't forget to stop by the Eco-Tianguis "Sanca" tomorrow between 9 and 1:30. Across the street from the waterfront museum in front of the Vicente Guerrero school.

[image]I cannot thank the folks at Deborah's Restaurant enough for their hospitality. Not only was breakfast absolutely delicious, it was an absolute PLEASURE. Deborah has a comfortable dining area, an incredible kitchen staff, and dining room personnel who are professional and attentive, and they immediately make you feel relaxed and in capable hands. Lupita and I always enjoy our meals there, and it's worth the trip to Ixtapa.
