Nope, don't need fast food or gas station trash. Just basic infrastructure to improve our neighborhood. You should shut off your electricity though if your lights, fan and any other appliances are a burden on your lifestyle.

La Ropa's had basic infrastructure since the road was paved. Bright lights are just more light pollution where it most hurts what's left of the natural environment. Your false sense of security notwithstanding, isn't conserving La Ropa's natural environment important to you?

WOW :-|

Aren't you curious why "surfguy" is all for paving the waterfront when none of the other neighbors directly affected want to see this project carried out? Personally, I'm not keen on seeing La Ropa converted into a brightly lit overbuilt southern California community, but then I also don't live in a condo skyscraper on the beach, so your perspective would be interesting if you could manage more than an exclamation of "wow".

Unfortunately, I don't expect La Ropa's neighbors who oppose this project to speak up because many of them are afraid of retribution from the mayor. But I've heard from enough of them that I can speak on their behalf in general terms.

I used to live right where the mayor wants to pave and turn it into another Disneyland, and one of the most beautiful attractions of that location is the lack of light pollution and the lack of concrete that raises the ambient temperature, as folks along the waterfront here in downtown Zihuatanejo have been finding out since the Paseo was "remodeled". Just a simple little dirt road, some smoothed stones on the beach, and the bay full of life. My Activities page has examples of some of the marine life this project will jeopardize if not eliminate altogether.
