Though it is accurate, I don't care for the use of that terminology "foreigners", either. I.M.O, It has a hostile vibe to it.
Surely others don't have that perception, fine, O.K.

I would prefer, for example:
Visitors from Canada (or wherever)
vacationers from the USA
Tourists from "X" wherever it is.
A bit more "Kinder & gentler" as it should / could be?

As far as "can't do anything", about many issues, that's the case, e.g. the Alacalde's cement habit.
It has been mentioned to contact the local Gobierno's Fb page, or deliver a written statement to the H. Ayuntamiento.
That said, in general, "Foreigners " intervening isn't well accepted, and in fact prohibited in some situations.
So, I don't think it would make any difference.

Though, in other situations unrelated, such as dog issues, assisting with donations to the lower income population,
"Foreigners" have had an impact and made a difference.

"Extranjero" is the word we use here in Spanish to describe anyone not from Mexico, and it translates to foreigner. I was unaware it bothered you all so much. Why such thin skin?

Foreigners intervening isn't well accepted? What????? They sure accepted all these charity events started by extranjeros and co-opted by el niño del cemento for his own political purposes. If anyone is violating Art. 33 it's the extranjeros involved in those charities, especially the ones responsible for building all those schools in what is supposed to be our ecological zones. The photos of the smiling politician (the same one each time) at all those events speak for themselves. Tens of thousands of poorly informed voting citizens believe he's the one responsible for helping them. Not you all. " end quote

NO NO NO, you MISINTERPRETED my comment. Let's clarify--->

As far as your insult against me, "thick skin " is an exaggeration,
though if it makes you happy, call me whatever pleases you.
I'm NOT as dumb as you apparently think I am!

I was referring to the CONTEXT that I think user victorio was referring to,
and NOT to the entire usage of the term wherever it is used.

I would prefer, especially in your posts where you usually are referring to FOREIGN vistors, for example:

Visitors from Canada (or wherever)
vacationers from the USA
Tourists from "X" wherever it is.

So, instead of saying el Paseo del Pescador was crowded with "Foreigners", I would prefer any of the terms I noted above
(visitors, vacationers, tourists), then if you wanted, indicate if those were Mexican nationals, and/or from other countries.

All I am trying to convey, that I.M.O, in the case of your International visitors you typically refer to in your posts as victorio seemed to indicate,

Again, to clarify my comment:
More specifically in CHANGING LAWS.

I'm already quite aware that as you noted,"Extranjeros" do participate in a variety of your local events,
though apparently as you noted, violations have ocurred, and your mention of "Jorgito" taking credit as being "responsible" for helping "tens of thousands of poorly informed voting citizens".
