Lupita and I hope everyone enjoyed Día de San Valentín. Just another day in paradise!

I hope all you local property owners don't mind the 20% raise in property taxes that you're paying so that the mayor can pour more of his own cement for unnecessary works like the road to Capricho del Rey. The publicity alone cost a fortune. Last year the city wouldn't let non-citizen taxpaying residents participate in the raffle for a vehicle they're giving away. Let me know if they do it to you again this year. It's discrimination and you shouldn't tolerate it.

The high winds forecast a few days ago by the government still don't appear in other forecasts, but Friday and especially Saturday rain is expected. Temperatures remain perfect, though the ocean water temperature continues too cool for locals at 27.6°C. Brrrr!

If you're seeking a romantic and private getaway, Punta Blanca Hotel & Villas features luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, some with private splash pools, fronting the beach at Playa Blanca, five minutes from the airport. Amenities include pool with sundeck, beach chairs with umbrellas, hammocks, Jacuzzi, gourmet dining facilities, and pool bar.
