April Fools

Well after 92 wonderful days the time has come for us to head back to the great white north.we have had a wonderful 3 months here in the sun and to think it all started many years ago with a trip to Presidente in Ixtapa and a day trip to La Perla and the white sand of Playa La Ropa. We used to be able to come for only a week or two when we were working and were looking forward to the days when we could spend months here. We feel so lucky that our journey has taken us to this point as Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa are just a great place to be. We also found La Peurta to be a very great hidden gem for restaurants, fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and most supplies you need. A special shout out to my friends Jorge and Maggie at The Cafeteria in La Peurta or it’s also known as CYC ( Conch Y Cafe) for their warm smile, friendship and delicious baked breads, cinnamon buns and coffee. Please stop in and support this young couple and their businesses…… we visited Troncones, Barra da Potosi, Playa Linda, Larga, Blanca, Madera,Principal and all places in between. The people here are so welcoming and friendly and we were able to have visit from our children and their spouse this year as well as family. We were able to show them around the area and now they understand why this place, the people , the food and the experiences here are so special and important to us to be a part of our life. We leave here today , happy that this place is still that for us after 3 months and look forward to 3 months next year…..

We also have to mention our great friend and his family Juan Carlos Garcia García , Federally licensed tour guide and taxi driver for taking such good care of us and our family. He is truly proud of where he lives and would love to show you and take you around. He also does tours outside of the area, to the butterflies in Morelia as well as city and country tours.
