The heart of our Chihuahua Kiki took its last beat this morning. Kiki was adopted by our daughter who literally rescued her from a garbage dump in Ixtapa where she discovered her owner abandoning her. Kiki was old then, and almost totally blind. During the 10 or so years we had her, she lost the rest of her vision but never her joy for living. We were privileged to enjoy her love for all these years, and she will be dearly missed. Adiós, Kiki.

Our perfect weather continues, and our visitors are enjoying it immensely. The beaches and streets seemed full of people this Sunday, besides the campaigning politicians who are making the rounds grinning and greeting. There was quite a bit of cloudiness last night and early this morning, but then the skies cleared and stayed that way. And a gentle breeze continued for much of the day, dying down late in the day.

Mar de fondo waves continue, though not quite as large as several days ago. The water temperature in Zihuatanejo Bay got up to 27°C today. A sign that changes are occurring and warmer weather is on the way. That's about the coolest we like it for swimming, and this is the best time of the year for swimming, while the water is clear and clean before the rains start.
