Amazingly our perfect weather with refreshing coolish breezes at night and cool mornings continues. Enjoy these final few days of this mild weather while it lasts. A change is gonna come.

The mar de fondo is in full swing with its massive waves climbing high up the beaches in Zihuatanejo Bay. I can only imagine there's been some beach erosion along the coast outside the bay as well. But the water looks clear and pristine. Haven't seen any trace of the marea roja or algae blooms in the past few days. The bay water temperature seems to have dropped back down to between 25°C and 26°C, possibly an effect of the mar de fondo.

Hurricane season starts on May 15th. We're predicted to see 8 to 9 tropical storms, 4 to 5 category 1 or 2 hurricanes, and 3 to 4 category 3, 4 or 5 hurricanes. ¡Uff! Hold onto your hats!

Not hardly a tourist in sight this evening as we strolled along the waterfront. Our friends with shops and restaurants either closed early or were idle and bored. This weekend will be sort of a holiday weekend due to Día de las Madres this coming Friday, but it doesn't necessarily mean we'll get a lot of visitors with money to spend.

Un lujoso yate se ancló en la bahía de Zihuatanejo frente a Playa Principal. En la distancia se puede ver el ecocidio que el gobierno municipal actual está llevando a cabo entre Capricho del Rey y La Gaviota en Playa La Ropa.
