This Saturday we saw more visitors show up and head to our beaches. It got fairly crowded on our downtown beach, and folks were returning from Las Gatas well after dark this evening. It's good to see so many visitors. It also helps that a women's basketball tournament is taking place here. The Cancha Deportiva and other local basketball courts will be busy for a while.

Speaking of sports, congratulations to Team New Zealand for retaining the America's Cup! What a regatta!

Tropical Depression Nadine looks poised to jump across from the Caribbean to the Pacific and form up as a hurricane that will be in front of our coast this coming Monday and Tuesday. Let's hope it keeps heading westward and doesn't deviate our way.

There was a huge bust by the Marina of over 8 tons of cocaine in 6 different vessels in front of our coast this Friday. The last time there was a bust this large it set off a chain of violent events in the region. Let's hope it doesn't happen this time.

We've been enjoying some truly lovely weather lately, but we still need more rain. The ocean was like glass today. Perfect for taking a cruise, swimming, SUPing, diving or snorkeling. But first ya gotta BE HERE.
