A slight haze this Sunday morning acted like a magnifying glass for the sun, making the morning and the rest of the day quite warm. The humidity this Sunday evening is making 31°C feel like 39°C, according to my weather app, but this afternoon it felt like 49°C. A bit on the warm side if you're walking anywhere or doing any work. Blows my mind to see people jogging in this weather. Not recommended. Remember to stay hydrated!

But relief may be on the way in the form of a hurricane. There's a tropical depression currently growing in the Bahía de Tehuántepec that is expected to form into a hurricane rather quickly. While it's predicted to move westward, there ain't no reason with the hurricane season, and anything can happen. Hopefully it will bring us some welcome rains and cool things down. Keep an eye on the forecast.

It was good to see some tourism this weekend. I suspect we're still getting quite a few people who normally would've gone to Acapulco if it hadn't been destroyed by Otis and later John. This is likely to continue through the winter season, and it could get quite busy here.

[image]Imagine waking up here in the mornings, at one of the bungalows at Casa Ki on the beach in Troncones, a peaceful remote tropical village on the warm and friendly southern coast of Mexico: a place where natural beauty still rules and times seems to slow down and stretch out at the same time. A place where stress simply doesn't factor into one's daily routine.
