This Monday morning we awoke to relatively cool temperatures in Zihuatanejo, maybe 23°C here downtown. Felt delicious. A pleasant way to wake up. No new dead baby sea turtles on the beach this morning, but there were signs another one laid eggs in the beach soccer playing field on Playa Principal.

Only five more days until Eastern Pacific Hurricane Season ends. It looks like our chances of more rain are over. We may get some sprinkles in January or February for La Cabañuelas, but there's no guarantee. It's likely not going to rain again until late May or early June. Gonna be another looooong dry season. Take precious care of the water we have, please.

The bocote trees' flowers are turning yellow and falling off. I've been surprised to see so many along the water's edge of the downtown beach that washed down from the hillsides with the last rain. Like little stars in the sand. Soon the hillsides will lose all their beautiful vibrant green color and start turning brown again as the dry season gets underway.
