ON A DAY LIKE TODAY 37 YEARS AGO

Thirty-Seven years ago today I arrived in Zihuatanejo. I fell in love the moment my feet made contact with the tarmac of the International Airport of Zihuatanejo.

When I arrived on that fateful anniversary of Pearl Harbor, I was a young Turk of 28. I am now oak barrell-aged 65.

The adventure continues.

I came to stay the following year when I was 30, now 66. Got a nopal implanted on my forehead like you. I think that means we're here for the duration.
