Vet certified to clear screw worm for USA bound dogs

I asked Dr Islas about the screwworm certification. He said he is not certified and there is only ONE vet in the entire state of Guerrero (Acapulco) on the list of certified Mexican vets.

He advised he will contact SENASICA for more information.

Whether the USDA screwworm certificate is mandated for entry into the USA is not clear. For sure, all dogs must be microchipped and vaccinated for rabies per new CDC regulations.
