There was barely a wisp of clouds on the far eastern horizon as the sun arose this Tuesday morning, but this late afternoon we appear to be socked in, though no forecast predicts rain for us.

Beachgoers at Playa Principal have been enjoying themselves all day. No crowds, no stupid beach gestapo, everyone doing what people normally do at beaches without bothering anyone or making a mess, the way beaches are supposed to be enjoyed.

Our daughter says her best sale of the day was to someone from the States. Thank you! We need all the U.S. tourists we can get while you're still allowed to travel freely. It looks like it may be a tough 4 years ahead.

All along the downtown waterfront this evening the majority of people were smiling. Visitors and locals. People walking and people sitting. Smiles and laughter are everywhere. So very different from too much of the rest of the world. We know we are among the most fortunate people on the planet. We feel and appreciate it every single day. There's certainly no place else I'd rather be! ¡Viva Zihuatanejo!

Truly one of the loveliest vacation lodgings at La Ropa and one of my favorites located in one of the most peaceful areas of our community is Villa Zanzibar, a charming 3-bedroom private villa tucked away in the old original La Ropa community at the southern end of the beach a short easy walk uphill from the end of the beach.
