Playa La Majahua has a whole wack of trails, we just went to the La Cueva del Tigre

which was a good little hike up and up and up. The trail goes down, there were bees down that way so we went up. The trail continues on and on it seems but we found the cave. Interesting it was. Recommended for sure.

We also went to La Poza which was a bit of a challenge to find. Its just a short little hike to the lava rocks. I wouldn't be bringing small children there as the waves can get pretty wild and I think people have actually died there. So proceed as you may...
The waves in that area can get pretty wick. But, the trails around there are pretty good for hiking.

Yesterday we went to https://lugares.inah.gob.mx/es/museos-inah/museo/443-museo-de-sitio-de-la-zona-arqueol%C3%B3gica-de-soledad-de-maciel-xihuacan.html
near Zona Arqueológica Soledad de Maciel-Xihuacan
Well worth a visit for sure. Such vast history. I wasn't aware of that at all, yet I have been through Guatemala (volunteered for construcasa.org) lots of amazing ruins and history plus amazing architecture. And, volcanos we built some homes near Fuego but then it blew up a few months later https://www.gulf-times.com/story/595548/guatemala-volcano-death-toll-tops-100 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc8Iq8LuNt4

Trying to book a visit to https://www.elrefugiodepotosi.org/visit.html, but it seems as though yah need a group of 6 for most tours.
