I am saying that Wokeness is widely and unnecessarily intolerant. Jerry Seinfeld says he can't tell his favorite joke about a gay French king anymore due to hate mail, and it's not coming from the Right. Something that no one would have thought twice about 30 years ago.

I don’t know that joke. But I do know many jokes from 30, 40, 50 years ago that might have been funny at the time. As we learned how hurtful humour can be when it involves laughing at others, particularly disadvantaged others, we have come to understand that it is not funny to laugh at others. I am embarrassed now at some things I used to think were funny.

When I tell stories now that I think are humourous, they are about myself. I hurt no one, and I have many reasons to laugh at myself.
