As expected, buses full of arriving tourists caused chaos this Friday at Plaza Kioto today parking to drop off their clients before going to Las Salinas to park.

There's been a bit of smoke in the air the past few days from fires in the region. Not too bad, but with the sea mist from the large waves, it makes for a bit of haze along the coast.

It figures the ocean would turn a bit ugly just in time for Semana Santa's vacationers after being absolutely perfect every day this year up until now. It never fails. Waves washed halfway up the unpaved part of Playa Principal, surprising me while I took my dog for a morning walk. Their sound is great for sleeping at night, though.

The waves from the mar de fondo event have been larger than expected. They've been washing completely over the pier at Playa Linda, so there was no water taxi service to Isla Ixtapa today, and none is expected tomorrow either. The waves made Playa La Madera mostly useless. The water taxis to Playa Las Gatas remained operating as normal. Waves reached 3.6 meters at Playa El Palmar, and were over 2 meters at times in Zihuatanejo's bay.

There's plenty of activity along the downtown waterfront. Music and smiling faces everywhere. An extremely festive atmosphere.

The Eco-Tianguis Sanca will be in the small plaza across from the museum this Saturday from 8:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Come enjoy arts, crafts, good food and drinks, music, educational talks, and lots of good vibes and wonderful people.
