Con La Temporada EnZIHma
We're one week from the official start of the Pacific Hurricane Season, our rainy season, and Mother Nature looks like she's anxious to get the ball rolling. Each evening for the past several days the sky has clouded up and the humidity has continued increasing. Any day now. Fortunately, tropical breezes have continued throughout much of the day helping to keep us relatively comfortable. And amazingly there have been no major fires nearby. Keeping fingers crossed.
Thursday is día pozolero here in Guerrero. A great excuse to go to your favorite pozole restaurant and partake of one of Guerrero's most popular traditional dishes with all the fixin's. Watch out for those chiles!
The Danzón dancers were wonderful to watch and enjoy this Wednesday evening. A few people tried their hand, and they even gave a formal dance lesson for the public. I love seeing more people practicing and learning this style of dancing, particularly since it's a part of Zihuatanejo's culture going back generations.
One of the best reasons for visiting Ixtapa is to go to Deborah's Restaurant. Whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, everything I've ever eaten there has been prepared to perfection and the service has always been excellent.
