Una PoZIHbilidad de Lluvia
The nights are still comfortable for sleeping, but the daytime temps continue to creep toward the mid-30's, and the daytime breeze is getting scarcer and the humidity remains high. This evening we're getting a nice refreshing breeze from the sierra, so it should make for a comfortable night's sleep. But we're going to have some uncomfortable days ahead until the rains arrive to "break the fever" so to speak. There's a chance of rain in our forecast for this coming Friday and Saturday. Oh boy!
Another mar de fondo event is predicted to arrive this Thursday morning along our coast with waves from 1.8 to 2.4 meters in height. This will probably close down the water taxis to Isla Ixtapa again.
Hardly a soul out this evening along the waterfront or anywhere else in downtown Zihuatanejo. We did see a couple of young tourist girls who thought they were in Acapulco, all dressed up for the disco, but they were heading to the pier. Of course we always see old friends along the waterfront and swap chismes.
Hotel Quinta Camelinas is one of Zihuatanejo's hidden gems. A truly lovely and extremely comfortable colonial-style boutique hotel with a pool offering different sized rooms and suites, perfect for couples, all with air-conditioning, cable TV and wi-fi internet access. Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood two blocks from La Madera Beach in the Darío Galeana neighborhood near the fire department.
