We continue to enjoy absolutely wonderful weather in Zihuatanejo. Hardly saw a cloud all day, but the temperature remained mild. No heat wave. The ocean temperature has even dropped under 30°C. A little low for this time of year, but it should help keep the intensity down of any passing tropical storms we may have. There's no rain in the forecast until towards the middle of the week.

Visitors are beginning to show up. Today was the most we've seen for over a week. They appear to be mostly bus tourists. Not really the big spenders we need, but they're always welcome.

Folks have been having graduation parties, so we keep seeing mostly pretty young women all dressed up at some of the local restaurants, not sure why we aren't seeing more young men, though there've been a few. It's been good business especially for some of the restaurants that have been having a rough time of it recently.

If you're driving the coastal highway in La Unión, please be alert. There was an attempted carjacking today in broad daylight near the town of El Chico that cost a visitor her life. I've heard of quite a few attempted and successful carjackings on that section of road in recent months, all during the day. This is a local problem that's been going on for decades, and I'm disappointed that our local municipal and state governments have been so derelict in their duties. Got to keep on them about it!

:trophy: This Sunday the national fútbol teams of Mexico and the USA square of for the Concacaf Copa de Oro Championship. At 5:00 PM our time. Expect most Mexicans to be watching it. This ought to be good. ;-)
