¡Feliz Día del Cacao!

We enjoyed another stellar day of picture-postcard-perfect weather in Zihuatanejo, today. How wonderful it is to be in this place that seems so far from the madness that appears to have overtaken so much of the rest of the world.

The new direct flights between Morelia and Zihuatanejo on Volaris will be flying on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The cruise ship Oceania Insignia arrives this Tuesday in Zihuatanejo from Cabo San Lucas. It will be in port from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM. It doesn't mean you have to avoid coming downtown. Most cruise ship visitors tend to take guided tours, so we never see them. I hope our local merchants make some sales.

Schools are already letting out, and visitors are showing up. Quite a few families of locals as well as some visitors were out along the Paseo del Pescador this Monday evening with their children enjoying the lovely evening under a bright waxing moon. Expect to see more and more families enjoying themselves here from now until September 1st when school starts back up.
