Una Buena LluviaZIHta
We awoke to rumbling skies with dark scudding clouds and a few gusts of wind this Thursday morning that brought us a brief rain shower. It washed several weeks worth of dust away and brought the temperature down a bit. Just what we needed. I was surprised at all the visitors and locals out on the beach and even in the water while lightning was striking. No no no.
Rain remains a possibility this Friday according to local forecasts. But the mar de fondo hasn't been a problem. The waves in the bay haven't hindered the tourists or navigation by small vessels, and Playa Linda's pier has also remained open. Evening low temperatures have been around 26°C while daytime highs have been around 33°C. The clouds kept things relatively cool for most of the morning. Chances are for rain Saturday and Sunday are forecast at 50%. Sounds good!
Sales picked up a bit today for local merchants as best as we could tell. The waterfront restaurants were doing a decent business during the day and this evening. The downtown beach was packed today! Good to see! Let's hope business continues to improve. The community really needs it since our economy is 100% dependent on tourism.
