Wow! Amazing videos of the pangas in the canal. The power of water is amazing.

It's really a bummer watching what happened to several of the pangas, but they were warned and dismissed the 20 cm expected sea-level rise as nothing, not checking the tide forecast that added another 70 cm or so to the equation. I've seen this effect two other times in the 36 years I've lived here, but this was by far the most intense even though it travelled further than the other two. Lots of folks are asking why the Armada de México just stood by watching instead of helping. Good question.
