The question to ponder would be: If America would cease to exist tomorrow, would ANY bank in Mexico fold?

The quick answer to this question is, "Absolutely. And many other banks around the globe would fold, also." On the surface, it is unthinkable even to ask what would happen to the global financial system if over one quarter of the global economy disappeared overnight. On the other hand, under the malfeasance, corruption, cruelty, mismanagement, <insert-your-own-dire-economic-term-here>, the possibility of a major failure of the American economy and subsequent fallout around the globe is no longer a remote flight of fantasy. Along with the inflation-igniting tariffs sparking a global trade war and the recent killing of the messenger of the sinking employment statistics, the Mango Mussolini has toyed with "creative" ways to make the U.S. deficit -- poof! -- disappear from monetizing it with kleptocurrencies to actually defaulting on the debt. It's worked for Agent Orange in the past, right? Run a casino into the ground? No problem! Just move any assets into a corporation sheltered somewhere offshore, declare bankruptcy, and -- poof! -- all your debts disappear and you can go on to the next scam.

How in God's name did we allow this man-child to be elevated to such a position of power? We have given a three-year-old a loaded pistol, a stick of dynamite, and the codes to our nuclear arsenal!
