Lugar de Amistades ApreZIHables
We enjoyed another stellar day in Zihuatanejo. It was hot and humid, but perfect for the beach. And once again there were quite a few visitors out enjoying Zihuatanejo, shopping and dining, laughing and strolling about. This was the kind of weekend we needed.
It got cloudy and started to rain right after sunset. We took advantage of a break in the rain and went for a stroll down to the pier. We ran into the mayor and her husband enjoying a romantic dinner as well as a diputado in state of Guerrero's Congreso who is also family. Apart from our political differences we all respect each other, and I'm grateful for that and for our friendship.
It's currently raining, but nothing torrential like much of the rest of the coast and many of the inland communities have been getting. Knock on wood that our good luck continues.
Though the forecast calls for some rain in the next few days, we appear to be quite fortunate not to be having more serious tropical weather. This is one of the mildest Septembers I can recall. Let's hope October is also as mild.
One of the loveliest vacation lodgings at La Ropa and one of my very favorite properties to promote is Villa Zanzibar, a charming 3-bedroom private villa tucked away in the old original La Ropa community at the southern end of the beach a short easy walk up from the waterfront. Located in one of the most peaceful areas of our community, this is a place to feel relaxed and at home.
