This Saturday morning started off a tad cooler than previous days. Perfect for snuggling until the sun rose. There was only one wispy cloud in the sky, and the sierra appeared crisp and clear to the east. But it quickly warmed up as the sun rose, and the sun rises quickly at these little latitudes.

Apparently I misunderstood the presidenta's itinerary for Friday and Saturday. I thought she was arriving to Zihuatanejo Friday evening. But she stopped and interacted more with the various communities along the Costa Grande than I thought she would. I still suspect she'll be at the Partenón tonight at a private event. And Sunday she'll be at the Unidad Deportiva. Not even a day's rest! Then she'll be off to Michoacán, en la boca del lobo.

Sunday evening at the Cancha Municipal the Grupo de Música Tradicional Rayo Fandanguero will be performing beginning at 7PM. This group is extremely talented and plays a lot of regional music that we love. Hopefully some dancers will join them with a zapateado folklórico.

Good news for surfers: the surf has picked up a little. Sunday should be decent at the local surf spots with waves reaching around a meter, maybe a little less, but still okay for surfing, especially compared to what's been available during the past month with our calm seas.
