Friday morning was just barely cool enough to enjoy sleeping under a light sheet. A nice balmy breeze during the warmest part of the day made for perfect beach weather. The water temperature has warmed up a tad to around 27.1°C. Aren't we lucky? Our perfect weather looks like it's going to continue, and we should be enjoying cooler mornings once again in the coming days. Still no snow in the forecast.

As expected, visitors by bus were arriving before sunrise this morning and queuing up at hotels along Avenida La Boquita in order to get to the beach early. And the beach was busy today.

Amazingly, as calm as the ocean was at Playa Principal all day, someone had to be rescued by the good sailors of the Sector Naval at the western end of the beach. Somehow they got caught in a current that carried them out away from the beach. The waves have barely been a foot high today, so this is extremely odd and rare at this beach.

I hope folks enjoy the concert by Gabriela Quintero at La Mexicana in Troncones this evening. It should be excellent, and it's for a good cause. Be sure to keep up with local events here on my website.
