This Sunday we were pleasantly surprised to enjoy another coolish morning with a very nice breeze and cloud cover that kept the temperature mild. Perfect weather to wake up to.

A quick morning trip to the market and the panadería, and next thing you know we were enjoying fresh home-brewed locally grown coffee, fresh and exquisite pan dulce, and licuados de plátano y frambuesa. What a privilege to live downtown and have convenient access to such Sunday morning treats. I even ran into a charming woman from here but who currently lives in Tijuana who came up to me and thanked me for my daily photos, adding how she was totally in agreement with my comments. Made my day! I almost had trouble walking back home with such a swelled head.

The pescado empapelado from Las Tías restaurant was absolutely mouth-watering perfect. La comida was sheer extasy today! Living downtown certainly has its rewards.

We had a decent showing of visitors this weekend, but not the kind who have the purchasing power we need. The beaches in Zihuatanejo were busy but not full. Las Gatas had a good turnout, and so did Playa Principal, but this evening only La Porteña looked busy. All the rest of the waterfront restaurants were empty or only had a table or two at the most.

There was a nice cultural event at the Cancha Municipal, but due to all the tables set up with books for sale for the book fair, which supposedly ended last Friday, it was almost impossible to walk through the plaza even though it wasn't very crowded. The planning for foot traffic at the main plaza doesn't appear to have received much attention.
