La Bahía Casi ZIHn Olas

Our mild nighttime weather continues with another coolish night and perfect morning, and this Wednesday night is expected to get down to 22°C, downright cool and perfect for snuggling with my sweetie. People who are currently sleeping with A/C on are missing out, besides wasting resources and money.

Daytime temperatures continue to be in the low 30's Celsius, and we enjoyed a nice breeze for much of the day while the ocean remained smooth and calm. Perfect for swimming, snorkeling, SUPing, and kayaking.

Still hardly any out-of-towners around, but that should change this coming long weekend. Friday is Día del Trabajador (as it is in most of the world) and there will be no school or banks. There will be a parade starting around 9:00 A.M. with the workers from different local unions for the hotels, restaurants, taxis, schools, medical services, and government workers. The musicians have their own union, and the mariachis are my favorite part of the parade along with the charros who always finish the parade. Come enjoy a front row seat at Café Caracol next to Plaza del Artista and enjoy some fresh-roasted locally grown coffee and pan dulce. Don't forget film for your camera. ;-)

Not much surf for the next week. Waves might reach a meter by next Tuesday.

This is a wonderful time of the year to be here for folks who don't need to be around crowds to feel at home. Plenty of room at the beaches. Plenty of taxis available (they still haven't raised their rates). No waiting to get seated at any restaurants, and you'll get their full attention. B-)
