Sorry, but there is no country called America. People from the USA are U.S. citizens, erroneously called Americans because they've apparently been unable to agree on an appropriate demonym, but America is not a country, it's a supercontinent that we are all part of here. So that's why many of us in Mexico and throughout the continent are rooting for the American teams at the Copa Mundial, and not necessarily for the USA.
