Shameful

It is absolutely heartbreaking to see this quaint little town I fell in love with over two decades ago reduced to cement. When you mentioned the little alcove being destroyed I broke down in tears. What in the hel* is happening! Have they lost their damn minds! Is it all for money?
I have consistently promoted Zihuatanejo to anyone who is interested in a wonderful, friendly area in Mexico. I have always considered Zihuatanejo a true gem and the best place in Mexico. Tonight I find myself quite concerned with all of the ridiculous tearing apart of our beloved Zihuatanejo.
Long time, annual visitors are not looking for a place covered in cement with all the beautiful trees torn down and that sweet alcove gone. Tonight my heart aches for the dirt roads and cooler temps of days gone by.
Shame on those responsible.

I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately, as macho-looking as the fishermen are, they're afraid to speak up. They are totally against what the mayor is doing, of that there's no doubt. But they don't believe it does any good to oppose her or to take a stand against her. And THAT'S a damn shame. But thousands of Alex Serna's followers and others who have read what happened to him and seen his videos ARE speaking up and taking a stand. There was a noteworthy demonstration by reporters in Chilpancingo yesterday at the offices of the Fiscal del Estado, the people who should be investigating Alex's murder. They can't murder us all.
